Rainy Days and Mondays Tune

It’s a rainy and chilly Monday morning, so it’s a good day to wipe down my kitchen cabinets and clean appliances. Then, I can enjoy my diamond art and watch for bird guests.

Chuck surprised me with two new birdfeeders and a pole.

But first things first. A life-long habit. Open God’s Word, the Bible.

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.” Psalm 19:7

What does it mean? (Asking questions is a good place to begin when studying the Bible.)

The law of God: His instruction is to give us not a limiting life but a flourishing life of freedom, peace, joy, and purpose. Peace comes through our meaningful connection to God through His Son, Jesus.

Revives the soul: energizes, refreshes, reinvigorates, renews. There is only one perfect way to accomplish this: get into the Bible and let the Bible get into you.

I wrote it in my margin – no food, vacation, shopping trip, social media, or success can come close to delivering divine refreshment. After all these years, I’m still learning this.

Word in.
Work out.
And Chicken Noodle soup.

No umbrella is needed for this homebody today.

Just now, in a quiet Sunday afternoon here at home, I got caught up with your recent blogs. I’m so glad that you continue to use your gift of writing, Margi. You (and your insights and challenges) are such a blessing! I feel “energized, refreshed, reinvigorated, and renewed” with “freedom, peace, joy, and purpose” from my reading. Sending love across the miles. . .

I too have a quiet Sunday and it’s made better hearing from you, Joy! Time is marching fast on my home front. It is hard to believe we are in holiday season. I feel at least a month behind! So this day, we restore together❤️
