Post-Christmas Diary with a New Cookie Jar

Little writing.
More reading.
Visiting rehab facility where my sister is recovering from back surgery.
Refreshing home decor. Ahh… feels lighter.
Minimizing closets and drawers, again.
Opening and filling my brand new calendar.
Grateful glancing through 2024 old calendar.
Delivering another dozen of my books to our local grocery store.
Celebrating oldest son’s birthday.
Perusing sheet-pan recipes.
Cheering a new record – five bluebirds on feeders at one time.
Savoring plenty cups of coffee.

It seems fitting to wave goodbye to 2024 before I salute 2025. I look back and see God’s faithfulness. It is His hand I hold, stepping forward. A favorite verse I learned as a child is Lamentations 3:22-23:

The steadfast love of theĀ LordĀ never ceases;
Ā Ā Ā Ā his mercies never come to an end;
they are newĀ every morning;
Ā Ā Ā Ā great is your faithfulness.

Steadfast love.
New morning mercies.
Great faithfulness.

I’m stepping forward with this trio tucked in my backpack.

Farewell ’24. Just as I was getting used to you, you’re gone.

Margi

    Not sure why, but the cookie jar reminds me of Granny’s house for some reason:)

    I thoroughly enjoy reading your book during my morning devotions. So much of what you write about resonates deeply.

    I have started purging drawers and closets, tackling two drawers yesterday. Felt good. I have many more drawers and closets to do, but it was a good start.

    Blessing and much love,

      Aww, so nice to hear from you, Deb! I saw your post early this morning and though I’ve never met you, I know many in your family. I made a new friendšŸ’— As I worked on my cleaning closet today, I prayed along with you that you would get one thing checked off your list too.
      Thanks for popping in here. You have encouraged me. TY!
